About the author: Oz Wilson is a lifelong lover of comic books, science fiction, horror,
and fantasy literature and films. He’s won writing competitions since high school. He
graduated from the Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts in 1987 and tried his hand
at acting. He got a role starring in the very first “Sexy Specs” television ad campaign
airing in Michigan during the 80's. He then worked for the legendary Martha Jean
Steinberg better known as Martha Jean “The Queen.” “Learning from this icon of radio
broadcasting was quite an honor.”
From there he met and married his lovely wife Jacqueline Davis-Wilson who encouraged
him to return to his first love of writing. If you had to categorize his style of writing, it
could be considered a blend of Stan Lee and Donald Goines. Oscar‘s “voice” has an
urban flare but his topics and genres are those that have mass appeal to the "mature"
young adult demographic. He entered the National Writer’s Network annual competition
and won a semi-finalist award in 2004. One of his stories, “The Cromwell: A Hip-Hop
Haunting” was chosen as the basis for a film called “The Fury.” It was released in
October 2008 and was produced by Trillium Films in upstate New York.
