Well Examiner did, nyah nyah! For instance Comic book art legends like Arvell Jones and Keith Pollard call the Motor City home. Also legendary scribe and one of the founders of Milestone Comics and creator of Static Shock , Dwayne McDuffie was also born and raised in its concrete, steel and rubber womb. Another legend who getting a lot more attention due to the introduction of his creation to a new generations of fans is Rich Buckler. Super fans may know the native Detroiter as the scribe for D.C.'s "All Star Squadron" in the 80's . His new claim to fame is actually something he created back in the swinging seventies."Deatlok: The Demolisher" was also co-created by Doug Moench. In the original version Luther Manning was a soldier from Detroit who was horribly injured then rebuilt in the future. Number two was John Kelly, who later became "Siege". Michael Collins was the third incarnation of the character. This version was a professor working for Roxxon Oil when he accidentally discovered the Deatlok program. He was captured and his brain was transplanted into the body of the former John Kelly model of the cyborg killing machine. Number four was the Jack Truman/Larry Young hybrid version. Jack was a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent was transformed into a cyborg to battle the Red Skull. Using telepathy he swapped his mind with that of another S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Larry Young. There have been other versions like Deathlok prime and a young female teen age version called "Death Locket."The version that Examiner is looking forward to is the latest model off the production line from the hit T.V. series "Marvel's: Agents of S.H.I.E.LD." Michael Peterson was struggling single dad trying to make a life for his son. He's tricked into a an experimental program that turns him superhuman but weakens his mental faculties. Through a harrowing adventure he becomes an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. He becomes a great asset to the team until an ambush and deadly explosion occurs and he's left for dead on the field. We later find out that he survived and has become a cybernetic slave for the sinister "Clairvoyant." The human parts of him damaged in the explosion replaced with cybernetics and controlled remotely by this unseen super villain.
